On June 13 Mark went into work for the last time. Although he was sad to say goodbye to his friends at Talisman, Mark didn't have much time to mope. He was on a flight later that night to travel to Barcelona for the important task of finding a suitable apartment for their eventual 18 month stay. His mission was a success...
After finding a decent sized apartment in the L'Eixample area, perfect for family and friends when visiting, Mark took in a few of the local activities... walking down the beach at La Barceloneta, checking out Gaudi Park, and afterwards Mark caught a late lunch at the Port. As there were no "baby sea eels", or "espangulas" in castellano (spanish), on the menu he settled for a traditional Paella with Calamari, Oysters, and Shrimp-don't worry, no shrimp were injured in the preparation of this meal (heads and all!).
I have three things to say about Barcelona... 1) It is true that everything in Barca shuts down from about 1:00PM-4:30PM for "Siesta" (Esade, my school, is one of few exceptions), 2) It is also true that most people don't start thinking about dinner until atleast 10:00PM and there are local children (ages 5-10) playing in parks until about 11:00PM, and 3) "Tricia is going to love this very beautiful city!"

Very nice...perhaps Audi can leave you a car on the week-ends.
